Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) as well as Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) are recognized as the most powerful and practical diagnostic tools for flow field analysis in fluid dynamics applications. Instantaneous 2D and 3D flow images are measured with high spatial and temporal resolution. LaVision’s FlowMaster PIV systems have been generating valuable insights into flow phenomena in scientific, engineering, biological and medical applications for many years. Pressure from PIV/PTV

With LaVision’s state-of-the-art Pressure from PIV software package, averaged and instantaneous 2D as well as 3D pressure fields are derived from double pulse or time-resolved planar and volumetric velocimetry measurements. For instance, in Fluid-Structure Interaction phenomena, pressure is the key to understand the forces acting on surfaces.
